WBPDCL : Great news for the unemployed youth of the areas surrounding the state’s thermal power plants. West Bengal Power Development Corporation is arranging ITI training for them. WBPDCL has initiated this as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility or CSR activities.

How many people will be trained this year?
State Power Minister Arup Biswas said last Friday that 216 people will be trained in this ITI in the first phase.
What other benefits will the young men and women get during the training?
But this is not the end, all these young men and women will get allowance during the training. During the training, the young men and women will get an allowance of Rs. 1 thousand rupees will be given as travel expenses. Everyone will also get a certificate after the training. They can also apply for future jobs by showing this training experience certificate.
Identified as a training site.
Initially this training will be given in few places. ITI Suri and ITI Baharampur (near Bakreshwar and Sagardighi Power Plan) have been identified as training sites for now.
Courses will be given in some subjects.
In the first phase, Assistant Electrician Construction, Fitter Mechanical Assembly, Assistant Electrician – Home Solutions, Assistant Surveyor, Installation Repair and Maintenance, Furniture and Fittings will be covered in a total of 8 subjects.

A separate online portal has been opened. Through which interested candidates can apply.

The first batch though is starting at ITI Curi. Out of these 216 training candidates, 156 will undergo fitter mechanical assembly course and 60 assistant electricians will undergo training in construction. Chairman and Managing Director PB Salim said on behalf of WPDCL that it has been decided to start the next batch at ITI Baharampur in the third week of August.
