Recently, the central government has informed that there are about two and a half lakh vacancies in Indian Railways. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav released the vacancy statistics. He said that the number of Group C vacancies in all railway zones is 2 lakh 48 thousand 859. Among them, there are 32 thousand 468 vacancies in the northern region. Western Zone and Central Zone together have 25,281 vacancies. And for eastern region there are 29,896 vacancies. The job aspirants have raised the demand for recruitment only after the calculation of this large number of vacancies has become public.

The Railway Minister said that the appointment of Indian Railways is done through the Central Public Service Commission. Discussions regarding this appointment are ongoing.
Vacant positions will be appointed at different levels (Indian Rail Recruitment Level-1)!!
According to him, 1 lakh 47 thousand 280 vacancies have been appointed in Level-1 till 30 June 2023. 1 lakh 28 thousand 349 vacancies have been included in the panel in Group C. Lok Sabha polls next year. Experts believe that the Center may take up the recruitment program soon as the railway vacancy notice has come out before that. Maybe there is a strong plan going on in the government.
